NASHVILLE, Tenn. – February 14, 2012 – Bigger Picture Group, with its holding company, Red Stripe Plane Group, celebrated an exciting 2012 GRAMMY Awards weekend in Los Angeles that kicked off Friday, February 10, with the MusiCares Person of the Year Benefit Gala at the Los Angeles Convention Center, honoring Paul McCartney. Red Stripe Plane Group was a Diamond Sponsor of the star-studded event, and guests enjoyed performances by artists including Tony Bennett, Norah Jones, Katy Perry, Coldplay and Neil Young. Celebrity attendees included Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks, Barbara Streisand, Yoko Ono and many more.
Saturday evening, Bigger Picture Group and Red Stripe Plane Group hosted an industry party at West Hollywood's exclusive hotspot SOHO House, where Jay-Z’s pre-GRAMMYs party had just wrapped. Guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails, dinner and live performances. Craig Campbell, one of country music’s few break-out stars of last year, treated the audience to an intimate set, including two of the top 100 singles of 2011 —“Family Man” and “Fish.” New signee, Ryan Kinder, also captivated the crowd with his guitar savvy and heartfelt ballads, including the self-penned “Kiss Me When I’m Down,” slated to be recorded for his forthcoming album. Industry and celebrity attendees included ESPN SportsCenter’s Neil Everett, SESAC’S Dennis Lord, BMG Rights Management's Richard Blackstone, Nigro Karlin Segal & Feldstein's Fred Nigro, CAA's Rod Essig and John Huie, and Warner Music Group’s John Esposito.
Sunday’s 54th GRAMMY Awards, held at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, truly was “Music’s Biggest Night,” and honored the musical standouts of 2011 as well as the life of the legendary Whitney Houston.
